The mission of the Advertising Educational Foundation is to enrich
the understanding of advertising and its role in culture, society and
• Stimulating a balanced dialogue about advertising
• Creating/distributing educational content
• Attracting the highest level of talent to the industry
Primary: Liberal arts college students and professors in the U.S.
Secondary: Students and educators in advertising-related curricula
Tertiary: Anyone interested in advertising around the world
The AEF was created in 1983 as a non-profit, operating foundation. It is supported by ad agencies, advertisers and media companies.
The AEF acknowledges that advertising is a vital and highly visible force in American society. Thus, a realistic understanding of how advertising is created, how it works and what it contributes to our social and economic life is important for all who play active roles in our complex society.
