Entry Deadline Extended to April 28th
Winning School Receives $2,500 Cash Prize
The fourth annual Radio-Mercury Student Award competition has begun,
giving chartered colleges and universities as well as technical and
proprietary schools in the U.S. the opportunity to win $2,500 for the
best student-produced Radio commercial. Entry deadline is Friday, April
The Radio-Mercury Student Award will be presented to the winning school
during the exclusive, invitation-only 2006 Radio-Mercury Awards luncheon
and ceremony on Thursday, June 8th at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York
City. The $2,500 cash prize and trophy will be awarded to the winning
school, and students involved in the project will each receive a certificate.
Qualified educational institutions may submit entries in English or
Spanish. The Student Award entry fee is $30 per commercial entry, and
there is no limit on the number of entries that may be submitted.

The Radio-Mercury Awards were established in 1992 to encourage and
reward the development of effective and creative Radio commercials.
Approximately 14,000 commercials have competed for over $2.4 million
in prizes. The Radio Creative Fund (RCF), a non-profit corporation funded
by the Radio industry, governs the Radio-Mercury Awards.
